Few of us train for shooting like we do for other sports, yet to be a good shot, we need strength, suppleness, balance and focus which all takes practice. So as the season ends, training begins.
In this workshop I’ve combined my passion for both shooting and teaching Pilates. This 90minute interactive Pilates workshop is tailored to guns who want to feel more balanced, relaxed and accurate in the field or at the clay ground. I’ll teach you how to:
- warm-up on the peg to target the right muscles and create instant focus
- improve posture and balance for improved gun handling and to compensate for uneven ground
- use simple body weight exercises to build upper body and core strength to take pressure off the shoulders and back
- develop greater mobility to maintain a steady line and improve accuracy

FAQs
WHO CAN ATTEND? Anyone who is fit and well enough to partake in a general exercise class (no jumping or sweating required!). No previous Pilates experience necessary.
WHAT DO I NEED? Just yourself, a pilates/yoga mat or a soft floor and just wear anything you can comfortably move in
HOW DOES THE SESSION WORK? I’ll send you a health form, to ensure you’re safe to participate and a Zoom link prior to the session. On the day join via Zoom for the live interactive class demonstrating how Pilates will enhance your shooting. Ideally you’ll keep your camera on so I can provide feedback and help you get the most from the exercises – but you don’t have to! If you can’t attend – don’t worry – everyone receives the recording to download and keep.
